About the Gallery

Our mission is simple:
Represent the finest artists.
Present their work in the best way possible.
Exceed the expectations of our customers.

To elaborate -
When it comes to business we follow a few simple guidelines: Work with people on a first name basis. Be direct and transparent. Trust the people that you work with. Do what you say you’re going to do.

We’re all in this together - the artists, the gallery and the customers are all working toward the same direction - the pursuit of great work.

We believe that customer service is paramount. “Above and beyond” is what we think of as a starting point.

We don’t work with artists just because they’re famous or sell well. We work with friends who consistently make great work and have an exceptional sense of quality and integrity. Granted, those are the ingredients that sell work and lead to fame.

Anthony Schaller
Founder/Director

Anthony grew up among the fields and farms of Southwestern Michigan. His love for the arts developed at a early age. Two things fostered this, first and most importantly from being part of a family that appreciates the arts and creativity, and from an education system with devoted art teachers. The idea of working in the arts and owning a gallery first came about in the mid eighties. One art teacher in particular fostered the idea, her confidence and voice has been ever present.

A career in business and other pursuits away from the arts occupied his life for a decade. He worked in the business sector at various large and small companies in management, marketing, advertising and sales.

In the mid nineties the idea of working in the arts re-emerged. His passion for the arts in combination with his experiences in the business sector provided the skills and knowledge necessary to start down a new path with an old plan, to work in the arts and own a gallery.

All along the way his father has helped him to understand the complexities of commerce and life and how to always keep looking and moving forward.

Anthony has worked as a studio artist, professor, curator and gallery director. He is a Trustee for the Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF) and is an enthusiastic fund-raiser for the organization.
