Proprietor of Narrow Land Pottery 1993 - present
For many years I have made pottery on Cape Cod in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. I work with high fired stoneware and porcelain making functional and decorative work. I sell from my own gallery and rarely exhibit at other venues. Many thanks to Schaller Gallery and Lucien Koonce for this opportunity to show the larger world my work.
The pots for this exhibition are grolleg porcelain with a clear crackle glaze. Two sake sets are also glazed with a black to blue liner glaze and the outside of the pots have been stained to highlight the crazing effect. Two sets are glazed only with the clear crackle which shows as a hint of blue-green celadon coloring. Each piece is marked with my studio initials, NLP, encircled in an oval.
