• Sage Perrott - Hey Peep

  Sage Perrott, aka Haypeep, is a print-maker/illustrator/educator originally from West Virginia. Her artwork features grumpy, lumpy, ghost-like creatures situated in cramped, often humorous circumstances. Perrott’s preferred process is screen-printing, for which she possesses a deep love. She is inspired by the endlessly bewitching personalities of all animals, but most specifically her beloved cats, Peep, Tanuki, and Goblin.

  Peter is a highly respected art professional with quite the illustrious background. From 1994 to 2002 he was the Director & Curator for the Holter Museum of Art in Helena, Montana. From 2003 to 2014 he was the Curator of Ceramics for the Arizona State University Art Museum. Since 2014 Peter has worked independently as a modern & contemporary art and craft appraiser, as well as managing collections for museums and major collectors. You most likely have seen his name as the author of many books about ceramics and the prominent makers in the field.

Having met and enjoyed careers as bakers in the San Francisco Bay area, they returned to Michigan, Jessica’s home state, to expand their opportunities closer to family. They soon met the Foleys and furthered their baking and pastry careers at Bit of Swiss, and quickly fell in love with the people and products. Jessica and Pepe are extremely proud to continue this legacy bakery and love the community of loyal customers and employees they have come to know.

  Fernwood is a special place where people, plants, and nature come together. Beautiful gardens surrounded by forest are tucked into a landscape of 105 acres of cultivated and natural areas along the scenic St. Joseph River valley. Miles of trails await, and indoors, visitors may enjoy an art gallery, fern conservatory, Education Center, café, and gift shop. Fernwood offers many possibilities for learning and enrichment, including classes, workshops, lectures, concerts, trips, exhibits, and special events. Fernwood is a private, not-for-profit institution. We receive no government funds, so contributions are necessary for our operation and development. More than 2,500 members and friends help make Fernwood the special place that it is through their donations of money and service.

  We believe that coffee is more than just a much-needed jolt of caffeine in the morning– It's a cup of love! We take great care in procuring our beans. Everything we use is single-origin and we make sure that everyone in our supply chain is treated ethically. We are an eco-conscious business. We use recyclable cups & napkins, paper straws, and make an honest effort to minimize our footprint, so that the only thing we leave behind is a lasting legacy of really, really good coffee. Everything you drink has been roasted in-house. Customers can see the roasting process happen right before them in our Saint Joseph shop. We exclusively brew our original Forté Blend in-house, but we offer a wide variety of ever-changing beans to enjoy from home, and can easily make your drink however you like it with a specific type of our coffee upon request.

• Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

  Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park opened in April 1995 after 13 years of planning and fundraising by the West Michigan Horticultural Society. In 1990, Fred and Lena Meijer were asked for their support, and they embraced the concept of a major cultural attraction centering around horticulture and sculpture. The original vision has turned into a top cultural destination in the Midwest region, known internationally for the quality of the art and gardens.
